With an aggressive target to Reliance Jio’s free voice call across the country, India’s leading telecom operator Vodafone announced Free Incoming Calls on National Roaming for all its customers starting on this Diwali October 30, 2016. To make every Vodafone customer happy and bring the spirit high of the festival Vodafone offering free and unlimited lifetime voice calls while roaming nationally. But this Diwali bonanza is not just for the festival indeed the offer starts from the festival.
Both Prepaid and Postpaid Vodafone customers would be able to enjoy free roaming across the country from 30 October. Even though outgoing charges on roaming had become comparably low to home charges, incoming charges while roaming have been a barrier for tension free usage. Vodafone is now providing free incoming calls unlimited on national roaming which will ensure all its customers do not think twice while traveling out of state.
Vodafone had recently launched international daily roaming packs in August 2016, which allows the users to stay connected with their family and friends while travelling across the world. The pack costs Rs. 500 with day validity and offers free incoming/outgoing calls at Rs. 1/minute also 1 MB data at Rs. 1.
Roaming charges in India have been decreasing over the past few years with some operators offering even ‘per second’ rates on roaming. However, most of the Indian telecom operators offer free incoming calls while on roaming only when user recharges with a certain ‘Roaming STV’ pack.
